Nice

Very nice song, I can see why it makes you feel happy. I think it's the steel drums. XD

Loved all the sounds you used, but I would suggest making the piano slightly more inventive, repeating chords seems a bit too simple. All in all- very happy and relaxing. Nice job.

Thanks man I appreciate it

Cool

Very cool stuff, it sounds like a heavy house edit of some movie theme. Somewhere between Rocky and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Nice work with the brass and the vibrato hi-synth. This is really groovy, I liked it a lot.

Great trance

Not your best? This is great! Really nice beat and original use of the slightly worn-out synth sound. Mighty pumping bass and a good melody, what's there more to say? Very cool song, good job.

Great jazz song

Really good song, I loved the sounds. The piano sounded very mellow, the drums were... well, jazzy, and the guitar line was really nice. If I might suggest a slight improvement, it would be the sound of the guitar. In the case you were going for a jazzy feel, I would suggest a bit softer sound (similar to the first sound you used, a bit Santana-ish). This way, it sounds a bit more like Steve Vai than like a Jazz song (not that that's a bad thing). In any case, the sharper sound made it slightly different from most jazz submissions. Very nice stuff, enjoyed listening to it.

Hey Hades!
You're perfectly right when you say that this sounds more Steve Vai than jazz eheh but i really love distortion! I would call this "fusion" (rock+jazz) :)
Thanks for listening and reviewing!

Chill

Really nice song, it reminded me a bit of Yasunori Mitsuda's work on Chrono Cross. Very relaxing, loved the bass and plucked-strings harp-like sound. And yes, you did find out what ambient is about. And you did a great job. But take note that you have about 30 seconds of silence at the end, that's probably the fault of your program.

Cool

At the beginning, I thought that the melodic line was too simple, but when the heavy bass came in, it was good. The addition of the synths made it really good, and the piano break made it great! I must say I didn't see that coming, after the break I was expecting some sort of acidized bass line, and then you hit me with the great piano line. Really interesting turn of events, I might say.

I loved the way the melodies melded with each other to form a really good feel. However, it can be seen that you ran into this 'block' that you mentioned, it does seem to end a bit abruptly.

As for the continuation of the song (should you be planning any), I would suggest taking all of the instruments in the last section and repeat their lines, and then stop to a no-drum pause with a combination of two sounds that weren't used in a combination where there were only the two of them, e.g. the piano and the first synth. That should build up another 20-30 seconds at least.

Very good stuff, nice job!

BBQSandwich responds:

Thanks for the awesome review :D I think that will be very good to add at the end.

Great stuff

Very cool riffs, reminded me a bit of of Dew-Scented. Great, intense riffs and technical shredding with good drums. I found this song to be really interesting to listen to, good job!

Devastus responds:

Thanks, it was rather interesting to do, since I just whipped out whatever came to my mind :P

Thank you for your review.

Chippy!

At first, I expected this to be an RPG-styled victory theme, but it turned out to be a really cool NES-like song, really loved your melodies, they reminded me a bit of an old game I used to play as a kid, but I just can't remember it's name. Nice job!

Not bad

This is quite a good d'n'b song, I really liked the beat and the distorted sound of the bass, it was really intense. I believe that it is being zero-bombed for no good reason, since it is a really cool song. Nice job.

Groovy

Very cool song, loved the funky bass and muted guitars. Reminded me a bit of the Seinfeld slap-bass theme, but it had a special old-school funk feel to it. Really good stuff!

Zineb responds:

Thank you!

I write music. You listen to music. What a strange coincidence, isn't it?
