Good

Really relaxing and groovy, but I don't know if you are aware that you start with the exact same part like the 'X-Files' theme. :D

Otherwise, it was really nice, I loved how you discreetly started with the background synth-strings. The drums were cool, and not too pounding- just enough to keep the song in a mellow, chill-out mood.

Very nice! Keep it up!

hey thanks! Again, feeling lonely. However, this review cheers me up a bit, knowing someone else likes what i make :)

Another good one!

Man, this song might not have the audio quality of 'Morals', but the song quality sure as hell is here!

Really liked it, i found it very catchy, even though the production sometimes made it somewhat hard to distinguish separate instrument sections. :D The guitars have just the right amount of distortion, the drums are slightly more inventive than the usual hi-hat/kick + hi-hat/snare, and the vocals are well sung and recorded. The bass was a bit hollow-sounding, but I attribute that to the recording issues (plus, you mentioned the change of bass-player).

Anyway, continue at this rate, and soon we'll be reading reviews on your songs from the guys who actually get paid to do that for major magazines. With enough material, the whole album is just a few meters away from the record stores! ;)

Keep it up, continue doing great songs and have fun doing them!

P.S. And don't bother about the comments on the whole idea of the singer having a more 'British-sounding' voice. Your style shouldn't be forcefully defined by where you come from. :D

Cheers!

Wow thanks, a thoughtful review for once :D

That means a lot as well, we're currently under a lot of pressure from so many great bands rising around us and it's hard to get noticed. But we're sticking to it and going for as many gigs as possible.

Look out for new songs in the near future.

One happy piece of work

Beautiful song, it is really able to pick you up and send you hopping merrily around the house!

The bass gives it an extra dose of adrenaline with its octave-jumps, the drums are fast but not aggressive, and the lead has been stuck in my head for hours!

The steel drums part really gave it a semi-Carribean feel, which fits the idea of a 'summer song' (btw, steel drums are improvised drums made out of metal sheets usually taken from steel oil barrels, and they are typical instruments for the Carribean islands region ;D).

I have interpreted the name as a call out to people to use the remainder of their summer holidays in the best way they can, because they will probably have to wait for a whole year to pass before they get another chance to party on the beach and spend so much time with their friends. I hope this was your intention, if not, i guess i'm just a bit slow. XD

All in all- just wonderful! Keep making stuff like this, you really know how to make an energetic song!

Brilliant! Straight to the favorites list!

This piece is apsolutely brilliant! Besides the fact that it is both energetic and beautifully composed at the same time, it also provides a good representation of the theme you said you were aming for - the demise of a hero. Very powerful, yet with a tragic-heroic feel to it.

Excellent work, i will make sure to check out your other submissions!

Very nice

I'm usually not into this sort of music, but you guys could really do something with this. The riffs are cool, the vocals are catchy, and the production is good. If you ask me, you should find a good manager and go worldwide! Good luck and keep up the good work!

MathcoreMathcore responds:

That means a lot, thanks. And yes, we do have a manager and we're getting more and more gigs at the moment. ha it's not usually my kind of music either but when I was asked to join, I couldn't resist the chance of some gigs!

Good, but could be better

The beginning was just simple, downright perfect, but i didn't feel that the part after the first minute or so was the proper way to continue the song (that is, of course just an opinion, you should know best how YOUR song should look like :) ). Possibly a somewhat more fast-paced remix would give it a different edge. Otherwise, great work, keep 'em coming!

I write music. You listen to music. What a strange coincidence, isn't it?
